Alyssa Quackenbush

Alyssa worked remotely for the Galveston Bay Foundation as a Dolphin Research Intern in 2021. She moved to Kemah in 2022 to become a Dolphin Research Assistant until August, when she left to pursue her Master of Science in Marine Mammal Science at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. Upon returning to the States, she was hired as a Dolphin Research Associate. Alyssa primarily analyzes data for multiple Galveston Bay Dolphin Research Program (GDRP) projects. In addition to her Master’s degree, she also has a B.S. in Environmental Sciences from North Carolina State University. In her spare time, Alyssa enjoys exploring new places, crafting, jamming to Taylor Swift, and snuggling with her cat, Freckles.
