Jeff Miers
Board Member
Jeff is a Principal with EY in the Oil, Gas & Chemicals practice, based in Houston. Prior to joining EY, Jeff served as the Director of Worldwide Partnerships & Alliances for Energy and Utilities at Amazon Web Services. Jeff was also a Managing Director with Accenture, where he worked for 27 years. Jeff leads business consulting, technology, and systems implementation projects with clients through all aspects of the energy industry, including upstream, downstream, oilfield services, deregulated gas and power. Jeff holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin with highest honors.
In addition to his role on the Galveston Bay Foundation board of directors, Jeff serves on the board of directors of Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas, the World Affairs Council of Houston, and SpringSpirit. Jeff enjoys time with his wife, Amy and their three children – Sloan, Brooke, and Blake.
As a native Houstonian, Galveston and the bay have been an important part of Jeff’s life. Amy is from the Clear Lake area, and Jeff has family who were “Born on the Island.” Jeff and his family look forward to continuing to enjoy the bay for recreation and relaxation.
