Charlie Prioleau

Immediate Past Chairman

Charlie Prioleau retired in 2008 from banking and manages various partnerships and a foundation as CIO from a family office.   

Prior to retirement, he served as Vice Chairman, Executive Managing Director and Group Head of BMO Capital Market’s US Energy & Power Group from 2000 to 2008.  While at BMO, he was involved in M&A and corporate finance transactions, aggregating over $55 billion, and led a team which completed over $250 billion of energy and power transactions in the US.  Prior to BMO, he was Managing Director at UBS/PaineWebber and Head of its Houston Investment Banking Office.  Charlie started his investment banking career in New York at J.P. Morgan & Co. and worked at Kidder, Peabody & Co. in their Energy Investment Banking Group in Houston.  In 2008, he helped co-found a private oil and gas company and served as CFO and board member.  As part of this endeavor, he launched and helped raise $100 million of private equity funding.   
  
Charlie graduated from Washington and Lee University in 1982 with a BA in Chemistry and from McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin in 1987 with an MBA in Finance.   He has served on numerous academic and charitable boards since retirement and is currently serving on the Board of Trustees at Washington and Lee University as well as on the Boards of Galveston Bay Foundation and Eagle Lake Rod & Gun Club. 

He and his wife, Mimi, live in Houston and have two children.
